World is moving fast and what was luxury yesterday has become need today. In this way many prefer to travel by flight. I am too using flight for travel (Mostly official travel).
Even four years back, inside Airport we won't find rush but when I went to Delhi Airport on 19th morning, it looked like Chennai Central Railway station. Avoid to take morning flight because of mad(??) rush in the airport. To catch 0700 hours IAC flight to Patna, I reached airport at 0555 hours thinking I am going too early and there won't be much rush in terminal 1A from where Indian and King Fisher Airline operates their departures. When I went, rush was too much and people were standing for security clearance till the gate (may be 300+ in the line) . After getting the boarding pass, I could reach the flight only at 0720 hrs and flight got delayed by an hour. It is better to catch evening flight always.
During flight journey we can come across many type of people with different behaviours. We can see people carrying bags with dead-old security check tags. ( கசங்கி, நஞ்சி பிஞ்சி போன), somebody will have "n" number of such old tags (அல்பங்கள்?-- want to show they are frequent traveller and toooo busy not finding time to remove these tags ? !!) and will search for current one when security person wants to see.
People will be waiting for boarding announcement and when the call comes, you can find everyone running ( முட்டி மோதி ) to the gate to form line just like standing to get ticket for Rajinikant film. Many of them will not book huge big bags but will carry as hand baggage and will make comment that service is poor and waste of time to get the baggage at destination, if booked.
When they get into the shuttle service bus, no one will want to go inside the bus and will stand near the gate itself (Want to board flight quickly - otherwise they won't find space to keep the bag !!). While going in the shuttle or after boarding the flight you can often listen to the following dialogues
1. Ya Ya. I am just in airport moving to flight. I am going to get into the flight
2. I am going to board Airbus now
3. I won't take your call after few minutes as I am getting into Air Taxi etc etc.
Those who do not get a phone call normally will also try to use mobile at this point of time !!
Next update will start once they sit in their seat. Again it will in a high pitched voice almost having same type of phrases as above. Somebody will go further also. If they don't get a phone call, just to show off, they will call someone and will inform them that they will not be available on phone for next few hours and will ask other person not to call him !!!
Before flight starts, crew will start serving water (Due to cost cutting, they stopped offering chocolates). When the crew is at row say 1, person from row 10 will start pressing the call button again and again just to ask water !!( Arey Baba !!! Can't you wait for 2 more minutes ?). Next requirement will come some of the passengers -- irrespective of time -- even at 2200 hours -- "Please get me today's news paper -> Economic Times" as if he is going to take decision on world economic. If it was not available, I can't explain the face expression of that person here -- will keep his face in அஷ்ட கோணல் cursing unknown people.
Before takeoff, crew member has to come personally to these people to ask them to switch off the mobile or otherwise they will try to impress others that they are the only busiest people handling many tasks at all time and world will not run without them !!
அப்பாடா ஒரு வழியா flight take off பண்ணியாச்சு. It will not take more than 10 minutes for the flight to gain the altitude to reach 30000 feet. As soon as the crew get up from their seat, you can see many people get up together and will move towards wash room. They will again form a line there to go inside wash room. What is the problem with these people, I am not able to understand.
You can see people in bussiness class will talk to each other and mostly will share something. But in Economy class, people will not smile at next person, will try to read paper or otherwise will takeout Laptop and will try to work !!
பொருத்தது பொதும் ! Now time to land. Crew has to ask people again personally to keep seat back upfront and to close tray. Till that time, HE will do something else as if he never heard anything.
Now Flight is going to touch the ground. Our Hero will switch on the mobile even though it will be asked not to switch on. He has to update someone (actually whether someone is on line at other end?) that he is going to land ( "I am just touching the ground", "Just landed-where are you ?" , " Is everything OK? ", " Flight landed safely and I will be out in next 10 min" etc etc). Total addict to mobile (Good for our company !).
Before the flight come to halt, they will get up and try to get out their bags and will wait for the door to open restlessly. The person in the middle rows will look front side and back side again and again to find out which side he can move. Situation of the person who got middle or window seat is still worse. He will not mind to stand keeping his head down for minutes below the luggage tray ! 2 மணி நேரம் பொறுத்தவருக்கு 5 நிமிடம் அதிகமாக உட்கார்ந்து இருக்க முடியாது !!
By seeing all these you can come out of the airport by completing an enjoyable journey.
