Vaideswaran Koil and Gavarapattu Visit Dec 2021

Visited Chennai to stay with Sruthi & Family and used this opportunity to visit temples

9^th Dec 2021

Started from Chennai booking an Xylo (Rs 15 per KM + Min 250 KM per Day + 500 driver Bata + Toll charges) at about 0800 Hours. Travelled Via Pondicherry with hope to reach Cuddalore by 1100 hours but delayed and could reach Cuddalore only by 1200 hours.  Already spoken to Navaneethakrishnan s/o Veeraraghavan, Maths Teacher who is presently stays at Thiruvandhipuram.  He was waiting on the road to receive us and wnet to Koil immediately.  With his help had a very good dharshan. Visited his house and met Veeraraghavan Sir after nearly 40 years. He and his wife were very happy and had a long talk with them for more than 30 minutes about old days.

 

Left Cuddalore at about 1400 hours after lunch and proceeded to Thirunallar via Chidambaram, Sirkazhi. Reached by 1700 hours and had dharshan.  Left for Sikkal at 1800 hours and reached Sikkal by 1900 hours.  Being Shasti day, there was special poojai going on and waited in the sannathi watching poojai for more than 30 min. Excellent dharshan.

 

Left Sikkal by 200 hours and had dinner in Thirukadaiyur (Good hotel and good quality). Reached Vaideswaran koil bu 2130 hours.  Being marriage day, had difficult in getting room and somehow had a room near Balambiga Lodge. Not a good one.

 

10^th Dec 2021

Started for Koil at 0800 hours and completed Mavilakku initially. Already arranged for Abhishegam through Durai Kurukkal. We were asked to sit in front of Lord Siva for more than an hour and very happy for that.  Completed Abhishegam and poojai by 1130 hours. Started for Serukathur (Raji’s Poorveegam) by 1430 hours which is on Tanjore – Thiruvaroor route near Kudavasal. Reached by 1700 hours and Poojari was waiting for us. Did poojai and started back to Chidambaram.  Reached Chidambaram by 2000 hours and stayed at hotel SaradhaRam, a good one just opposite to bus stand.

11^th  Dec 2021

Baskar came by 0830 hours from Neyveli and had breakfast with hm in hotel itself. Left for Gavarapattu by 1000 hours and reached by 1030. Spend sometime with Sundaram Chittappa and visited  our poorviga Ramar koil.  Muthu kurukkal performed poojai and spend some time.  Then went to see our kaval Deivam Pidari Amman temple which is situated inside the field. One can see this temple on the left side fthe road before entering Gavarapattu after crossing the cut towards Vasapathur.

Walked towards the temple from main road and during that time there was some rain to purify us which stopped once we reached temple.  Selvam who is managing thetemple arranged well with things  for Abhishegam, Maalai, Paavadai,Prasadham etc. Happily completed our service to Pidari Amma for the first time.

Veeraraghan Sir

என் பெண்ணும் தம்பி/தங்கை குழந்தைகளும் எனக்கு மட்டும் ஏன் கணக்கு அதிகம் பிடிக்கிறது என்று பலமுறை கேட்டு உள்ளனர். அப்பொழுதெல்லாம் பள்ளியில் எனக்கு கணக்கு சொல்லிகொடுத்து அதில் ஆர்வம் அதிகம் வர காரணமான ஆசிரியர் திரு வீரராகவன் ஐயங்கார் அவர்கள் பற்றி கூறுவேன்.

அவர் போட்ட அடிதளம்தான் நான் பள்ளியில் elective subject ஆக கணக்கை தேர்வு செய்ததும் B.Sc (Maths) படித்ததும்.

அவர் நாங்கள் இருந்த தெருவிலேயே 8 வீடு தள்ளி இருந்தார். எங்கள் குடும்பத்தில் உள்ளவர்கள் அனைவரையும் தெரியும்.

பள்ளி படிப்பு முடிந்து வெளிவந்தபின் ஒரிரு முறையே அவரை பார்த்திருக்கிறேன். 1982க்கு பின் ஊரைவிட்டே சென்றபின் பார்க்கவே இல்லை.

இரு நாட்கள் முன் கடலூர் வழியே போகவேண்டிய சந்தர்ப்பம் ஏற்பட்டது. கடலூர் அருகில் இருக்கும் திருவந்திபுரம் தேவநாத ஸ்வாமியை (திருப்பதி வெங்கடாஜலபதி அண்ணா) தரிசித்துவிட்டு செல்லலாம் என தோன்றியது. ஆசிரியர் தற்போது திருவந்திபுரத்தில் தான் இருப்பதாக கேள்விப்பட்டு அவரின் மகனுக்கு போன் செய்து கேட்டேன். அவனும் அவன் அப்பாவும் அங்குதான் இருப்பதாகவும் வரும்படியும் அவனே கோவிலுக்கு கூடவருவதாக அழைத்தான்.

கோவில் அருகில் அவர்கள் வீடு. வாசலிலேயே காத்திருந்து கோவிலுக்கு அழைத்து சென்று எல்லா சன்னதிகளிலும் சிறப்பு தரிசனம் செய்து வைத்தான்.

பின் அவர்கள் வீட்டிற்கு சென்று ஆசிரியரை வணங்கி பார்த்து பேசினேன். அவரும் மாமியும் அன்புடன் வரவேற்றனர். அவர் வயது 93 ஆனாலும் பழைய அதே கம்பீரமான குரல். சிறந்த நினைவாற்றல். பழைய நினைவுகள், அப்போதைய ஆசிரியர்கள் பற்றி, சங்கரமடம் நிகழ்ச்சிகள், ஸ்வாமிகள் வரவில் அவர்பங்கு, நவராத்தி விழா என நிறைய பேசி நினைவுகூர்ந்தார். சுமார் 30 நிமிடங்கள் பேசிக்கொண்டு இருந்தோம். மாமியும் என் பெற்றோர் மற்றும் உறவினர்கள் பற்றிய நினைவுகளை கூறினார். வயதான காலத்தில் அவர்களை மதித்து வந்து சிறிது நேரம் பேசியதில் அவர்களுக்கு மிக்க மகிழ்ச்சி.

அவர்களை நமஸ்கரித்து விடைபெற்றோம். மிகவும் சிறப்பான நாளாக அமைந்தது.

Old Days New Face

Old days are coming back with new face…

In those days if anyone wants to communicate with other person, they have to go in person and speak to them

Next started to communicate through Letters.

Then they communicated through Telegram or Phone

Then e-mail culture started and just they send the message

Then came messengers like Facebook, WhatsApp, Hike etc.

As many people are not seeing e-mails / WhatsApp / Hike etc (of-course using it for status), people started calling them to inform that they send message electronically.

The day is not far away that after sending the message, people will go personally and open that message to show it to the other person !!!!

Freedom Misuse

Are we misusing the freedom we got? Are we capable and deserve to have such freedom?

These are the question coming in mind after seeing/reading news around us.

For everything there is a protest from some section, attack &counter attacks, going to court asking stay.... etc etc.

I read someone gone to Bihar court to file case against Sri Ram and Lakshman of Ramayana as they left exile Sita in the forest alone!!

Why don't we concentrate our energy towards progress, education, humanity, personality development.....

BP Reading

 ரொம்ப நாளாச்சு.. BP பாத்து. இன்னக்கி பார்க்கலாம்னு எடுத்தோம்.

முதலில் எனக்கு.... Reading 179/115 என காட்டியது. அதிகமா இருக்கே, என நினைத்த போது இரண்டாவது தடவை எடுத்து பார்க்கலாமே என சொன்னேன். உடனே on செய்து பார்த்தேன். இப்போது 177/114 என காட்டியது. மனம் ஒத்துக்க வில்லை. ரொம்ப நாளா மெஷினை எடுக்காததால் சரியாக வரவில்லை போல் இருக்கு என சொல்லி மூன்றாவது முறை எடுத்தேன். இப்போ 166/109 என காட்டியது. என்ன இது ஒவ்வொரு முறையும் மாத்தி மாத்தி காட்டுதே என சொல்லி கடைசியா பார்க்கலாம்னு நாலாவது முறை பார்த்தேன். இப்போ 147/108. சரி சரி கொஞ்சம் அதிகம்..மாத்திரை வாங்கி ஒரு வாரம் சாப்பிட்டா சரியாயிடும் என சொல்லி என் projectஐ முடித்தேன்.

அடுத்த project மனைவிக்கு... முதல் முறை 142/82. மனசு ஒத்துக்க வில்லை. மீண்டும் பார்த்ததில் 141/83. இல்லை இல்லை. இரண்டாம் முறை உடனே பார்க்க கூடாது. கொஞ்சம் time கொடுத்துதான் பார்க்க வேண்டும். ஒரு 2 நிமிடம் கழித்து பார்க்கலாம் என சொல்லி 2 நிமிடம் கழித்து பார்த்தோம். இப்போ 139/80. அடுத்து என்ன காரணம் சொல்லலாம் என யோசித்த போதுதான் தோணித்து- வலது கையில் பார்க்க கூடாது. இடது கையில் தான் பார்க்க வேண்டும் என்ற "உண்மை". சரி இடது கையில் ஒருமுறை பார்த்துவிடலாம் என பார்த்தால் 136/80. சந்தோஷம். BP perfectஆ இருக்கு...

இதுவரை நாங்கள் மீண்டும் மீண்டும் reading எடுத்து பார்க்க கண்டுபிடித்த வேறு காரணங்கள்:

1. சாப்பிட்ட உடன் பார்த்தால் மீண்டும் பார்க்க வேண்டும்

2. கையை வைத்திருந்த angle சரியில்லை.

3. படி ஏறி இப்பதான் வந்தேன்.

4. Battery power lowவாக இருக்கலாம்.

வேறு ஏதாவது காரணம் இருந்தால் சொல்லுங்கோ. அடுத்தமுறை use ஆகும்.

சத்ரபதி சிவாஜி

 

நேற்று சத்ரபதி சிவாஜி பற்றி குழுவில் ஒரு போஸ்ட். இன்றைய நாட்களில் பள்ளியில் இவரைப்பற்றி சொல்லி தருவது இல்லை என்று. உண்மையாக இருக்கலாம்.

நான் படித்த போது, பள்ளியில் ஆண்டுதோரும் வகுப்பு மாணவர்களை 6 குழுக்களாக பிரிப்பார்கள். ஒவ்வொரு குழுவிற்கு வாரம் ஒரு வேலை. வகுப்பை பெருக்கி சுத்தம் செய்வது, குடிக்க தண்ணீர் கொண்டு வைப்பது, வீட்டுப்பாட நோட்டுகளை வாங்கி அடுக்கி வைப்பது, மாணவர்களை அமைதியாக இருக்க வைப்பது, black board cleaning, குழுவிற்குள் பாட சந்தேகம் தீர்த்து வைப்பது போன்ற வேலைகள் ஒதுக்கப்படும். ஒவ்வொரு குழுவும் தங்கள் அணி தலைவரை தேர்ந்தெடுப்பார்கள். அந்த தலைவர் தன் அணிக்கு ஒரு நாட்டு தலைவர் பெயரை சூட்டிக்கொள்ள வேண்டும்.

குழு என்பது attendance படி 7 பேரோ 8 பேரோ இருப்பார்கள். என் பெயர் Sல் தொடங்குகிறது. எப்போதும் கடைசி குழுதான். கொஞ்சம் படிப்பும் உண்டு என்பதால் தலைவர் பதவியும் உண்டு.

முதல் குழுவிலிருந்து ஒவ்வொருவறாக நாட்டு தலைவரை தேர்ந்தெடுப்பார்கள். காந்தி, நேரு, பாரதி, திருவள்ளுவர், பட்டேல் வ.ஊ.சி என selectஆகிவிடும். எனக்கு இவர்களில் ஒருவரை வைத்துக்கொள்ள ரொம்ப ஆசை. ஆனால் கடைசியில் இருப்பதால் எந்த வருடமும் கிடைக்காது. அப்போதுதான் என் ஆசிரியர், சிவாஜி, நேதாஜி, கோகலே பற்றி வகுப்பு எடுத்து அவர்களது பெருமைகளை சொல்லி இவர்களில் ஒருவரை தேர்ந்தெடுக்க சொன்னார். அதன் பின் 2,3 முறை சிவாஜிதான் எங்கள் குழு..
