ஜெயா TV ல் மார்கழி மஹோத்சவம் is one of the program I use to hear daily. At the end of this program, singers were asked to tell about their சின்ன சின்ன ஆசைகள். Most of them were telling that they like their early school days, like to play கோலி, பாண்டி, to fight with their brother / sister, to eat புளியங்காய் / மாங்காய் , go around with school days friends etc. All of them were well established them-self in this society and achieved something better than normal people and already created good wealth. Still invariably everyone like to go back to their childhood days and to have things that can be attained even without money. Attachment to such things happens because it is out of money. Once they got enough money, mind goes back in search of things that are attached through emotion. Even when I asked myself about my சின்ன சின்ன ஆசை, it is almost same. I spent about 17 years in Babu Rao Street out of which I may not remember many things till my age of say 3. So actually I spent only about 14 years in Babu Rao Street but it was ever green period in my life. I am staying in Delhi for almost more than 17 years now with all maturity of mind but still I feel proud to say I am from Cuddalore. How such things attached emotionally ? I completed my college in 1980 and almost 28 years passed now. Since last one year there was an urge within me to locate my college friends and I could get 3 of them in Chennai 6 months back. When I met them I could feel the atmosphere of my college day and we spent about 3 hours together. To my surprise we all spoke to each other in the same way as we did 28 years back. What an emotional attachment ?
Because of சின்ன சின்ன ஆசை, Cuddalore life came in to my mind and I want to start to write about the life I had in Cuddalore covering my school life, my friends, my daily routine work, games I played etc.
