Yesterday went to nearby market
at Tilak Nagar with family & Vibha. Tilak
Nagar is nearer to our house and generally we used to visit this place but this
time only I went further inside and Vibha shown us the “Galli” of book shops.
There were more than 50+ shops selling school and college books. There were about a lac books, new and old,
available in each shop. I am surprised
to see the shop keeper and the worker taking out the needed books immediately,
even if you say book name or author or some related information.
A lot of Good second hand books
were also available for students. We
asked for a book that cost originally Rs. 700/- and we got it for Rs. 400/-. More than that he endorsed on the last page
with an amount Rs. 200/- and date as 14.7.2014.
This means, if I give back this book before 14th July 2014,
that is within a year, I will get back Rs. 200/-. He is charging Rs. 200/- for a year. After
reading, without making much significant damage, we can give it back and the
same book will go to other needy person.
The time duration and rent will
vary according to demand of books.
I don’t know whether such scheme
is available elsewhere or not.
