It was told since long that if anyone kills a cobra, it has to be set
into fire with respect. This is criticized by many people as a wrong belief
(superstition). The actual reason is something else.
The poison within the teeth of cobra will reside as such even if the
body of the cobra decompose and by accident if someone happens to be in touch
with that teeth, poison can go inside the human body and will react. In order
to overcome this, they asked to set the body of the cobra into fire so that the
poison inside the teeth will burn and human can be safe
